The contact component provides a way to provide contact forms and information for your site or to create a complex directory that can be used for many different purposes.

When you set up your site contacts using the Contacts component, you can create multiple site contacts. You can also create two or more Categories of contacts, for example you can have a Contact category for each of the following:

  • Buyers
  • Sellers
  • Managers
  • Supervisors

Each category can have multiple Contacts.

There is also the option to set one or more contacts as "Featured".

Then, when setting up your Contact menu item this can be set to display either of:

  • Featured Contacts, or
  • List all contact categories, or
  • List contacts in a category (as site administrator you choose which category), or
  • Single Contact (as your site administrator you shoose which contact to display).

On UsingJoomla.com we have elected to display: Single Contact.

In Joomla version 3.10.x Contacts (and Contact Categories) are managed via the administrator area menu 'Component' tab and then selecting 'Contacts'.
