Editors-xtd - These Plugins are the buttons found beneath your Editor. They only run when an Editor Plugin runs.

Editors-xtd (Editors Extended) can be seen as an extension to your Editor.

Editors-xtd extends the functionality of your Editor - some optional Extensions can add buttons to the bottom of your Editor if the extension has features that are, or can be, used while editing content such as Articles or Modules.

These Button Plugins add items to the Content drop-down list in the TinyMCE editor (Editor for the default Joomal install) - other Editors do similar - by adding buttons elsewhere in their Editor.
